• Open Invitation

We had a great Compute Cloud Experience Workshop! THANKS

We reported on our experiences in building and operating an academic private cloud infrastructure. Topics include

    • Setting up our own Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Cloud
    • Choosing and installing a Cloud middleware stack, experience with OpenStack and HP CloudSystem Matrix
    • Running applications, solving real research problems on our Cloud comparing it with other infrastructures
    • Business models of operating a cloud in the academic environment

The workshop marks the end of the AAA-SWITCH funded project called Academic Compute Cloud Provisioning and Usage. The project partners are the ETH, the University of Zürich and SWITCH.
