Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Main Terminal) to the city

Applies to full service carriers (e.g. JL, MH, NH, SQ, TG) as well as Lion Air and Malindo arriving at KLIA Main Terminal

There are several levels of limousine taxi services provided at KLIA that operates a pre-paid service and coupons have to be purchased at the counters located at the Arrival Concourse of the Main Terminal Building. Fares are based on a zoning system, and they include all highway toll-fees and excess charges.

The fare from KLIA to KL city is in the range of RM75 – RM105 depending on the type of vehicle/service (i.e. budget, premier). We strongly advise delegates to avoid services being offered by private transporters or touts.

After purchasing your coupon, head towards the exit door number indicated on the coupon and present it to the driver waiting there. Be advised that there will be a 50% surcharge from midnight to 6.00 am.

As an alternative, you may opt to take a metered city taxi.

Please proceed to the City Taxi counter on Level 1 and purchase a coupon (RM2 for Airport Service Charge). You will then be directed to an exit door and queue.

Be advised that the fare charged will be meter-based and you will have to pay for all highway toll costs. You may request for a receipt from the driver at the end of your journey.

For your return from the city, you will need to contact the KL Limo service at least 6 hours before your schedule departure from the city. You can use the toll-free number provided on the coupon you received on your arrival, or call 03-9223 8080 (8.00 am – 12.00 am) / 03-8787 3030 (12.00 am - 8.00 am). Alternatively, you may download the Grab application for smartphones (iOS, Android, Windows & Blackberry) to book a taxi on demand. Do note a RM2 call charge applies and you may select either budget metered taxis or premier blue taxis which charge 50% more based on the meter fare.

The ERL is another transportation option to use between KLIA/KLIA2 and KL city. The ride itself takes 28 minutes station to station, as compared to at least an hour by car. It is priced at RM55 one way. Trains leave every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 20 minutes during off peak hours. The last train departs KLIA at 1.00am.

The Express Train stops at the “KL Sentral” station in Kuala Lumpur, which is a 15-minute (or longer, depending on the traffic condition) taxi ride to AAPA Secretariat office or your hotel near the AAPA Secretariat office.

    1. At KLIA, there is an ERL counter near the baggage carousels. You can get your train ticket AND buy a taxi voucher costing approximately RM15-20 for your ride from the KL Sentral Station to your hotel. There may be a surcharge of RM1 for each piece of luggage placed in the boot/trunk of the taxi.

    1. If you are adventurous, and have light luggage, you might wish to try taking the train from the KL Sentral Station to city. After alighting from the ERL, please look / ask for directions to the LRT station and take the Kelana Jaya Line LRT. Take the train heading towards Gombak (KJ 1) and alight at KLCC (KJ 10). Menara Prestige is located approximately 700m away from the station (through KLCC Suria Shopping Centre). Total fare: RM60 and the journey will take about 45 minutes.
