    Did you know that:
    1. Poverty is growing rapidly in advanced economies?
    2. Poverty and ensuing inequalities affect everyone?
    3. A Harvard alum is proposing 3 measures to abolish inequalities?

Join us and find out how with our next guest, Niels Planel (HKS '18) - specialist of social innovation and author, who just may shift your thinking.

    Niels Planel

The Harvard Club of France has the great honor of inviting you to an evening on an essential, inspiring, and challenging subject, which our next guest speaker boldly refers to as eradicating inequalities. That speaker is Niels Planel.

Niels' research into poverty is focused on the advanced economies in Europe and North America. In France alone, notes Niels, 8 million people, mostly youth, live on or below the poverty line, and the lack of social mobility means their future is bleak.

"In the combat against inequality, France's record is very poor: it takes an average of 180 years for descendants from a poor family to reach the average revenue in our country."

But Niels is hopeful and wants to transmit this hope to us.  According to his latest essay (in French) « Abolishing Inequality », three measures can change the situation.

New: Niels recorded, at our request, a message for you.
