  • What to expect in the workshop

A hands-on exploration of the secondary computing curriculum with EV3

Experience how to deliver computing curriculum objectives at Key Stage 3 with EV3. Work in pairs to program an EV3 robot and complete a problem-solving challenge, in which you’ll:

    • Design, use and evaluate computational abstractions that model the state and behaviour of real-world problems and physical systems

    • Understand several key algorithms that reflect computational thinking and use logical reasoning to compare the utility of alternative algorithms for the same problem

    • Use two or more programming languages, at least one of which is textual, to solve a variety of computational problems

What can you expect from a LEGO® Education workshop?

    The workshops are:

    • A free 30-minute, hands-on session

    • Designed to show you how to use the resources to engage your pupils and meet National Curriculum objectives

    • Run by a teacher who has used LEGO Education resources in their school

    • Located in our LEGO Education Innovation Studio on stand E150

    • And finally, fun!

Please note that these workshops are specifically designed for teachers from UK educational establishments only. They are limited to two teachers per school, and to 20 teachers per workshop.
