The 20th Fraunhofer Seminar "Models of Lung Disease" will be held in Hannover, Germany, on June 23 and 24, 2022, with a thematic focus on lung infection. An additional satellite workshop on June 22, dedicated to alternatives to animal testing for use in toxicology, pharmacology and infection research, can be booked separately or in combination with the main event.
For general information about the two events – including a summary of the last face-to-face event of the series "Models of Lung Disease" – please refer to the Fraunhofer ITEM website at https://www.item.fraunhofer.de/lungws.

SAFETY IS A PRIORITY!
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we recommend that participants have a valid vaccination against COVID-19 or/and have recently recovered from COVID-19. In addition, we would ask all participants to have a recent (< 24 hours) negative COVID-19 (self-)test prior to their arrival at the venue (certificates will not be checked).
Face masks (FFP2/KN95/N95) must be worn indoors during registration, guided tours, poster and oral sessions, but not when actively eating or drinking. There is a large outdoor terrace next to the conference area where for example the barbecue dinner on June 23 will be held and where no masks are required. FFP2 face masks (and a limited numberof SARS-CoV-2 self-tests) will be available on site.
