... for a day of debate and networking with fellow Lib Dems on the important topic of social and economic inequality in the UK today.
We are delighted to announce that Sir Vince Cable will give the William Beveridge Memorial Lecture. He will be joined by Norman Lamb MP, Baroness Lindsay Northover, Baroness Claire Tyler, Lord Jonny Oates, Sue Derbyshire (former Leader of Stockport Council), Shiv Malik from the Guardian, Neal Lawson from Compass, Bill Kerry from The Equality Trust, and many more excellent speakers from the Social Liberal Forum, the Liberal Democrats and from campaigning groups.
We have planned the conference in conjunction with The Equality Trust, which was set up to take forward the ideas in The Spirit Level by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett.

- You are in full-time education
- You are receiving state benefits due to being unemployed, the dependent spouse of an unemployed person, or you are on income support
- If your main source of income is the state pension.
- If you are wageless or on a low income
