    Delegation from Thailand to attend the Summit

    We are pleased to announce that Amata Corporation will head a delegation from Thailand to the upcoming "Copenhagen | Barcelona | Kaohsiung Summit on Service Innovation in Cities" on November 24/25 2010.

    Amata Corporation is a leading regional developer of industrial districts in Thailand and neighbouring countries in S-E Asia. Many globally leading companies in the automotive, electronics, ICT, renewable energy sector have located their production and R&I activities in Amata industrial estates. The flagship area is the Amata Nakorn industrial district outside Bangkok, which already today covers 30km2 and employs more than 140,000 people. It is here, that Amata Corporation, in collaboration with the Thai government, plans the expansion of the industrial district into an integrated Innovation District functioning as an attractive city of 60km2 to live, work, research, learn, and innovate.

    Today, Amata Corporation is building an international network of partners to assure that this ambitious programme will meet the highest standards of sustainability, efficiency, and planning quality. Hence, Amata Corporation would like to invite companies, government agencies, research centres and investors with competencies in the following fields to enter discussions about different forms of collaboration:

    • New city development and ecological / sustainable industrial park management
    • Sustainable and renewable energy and water management and generation
    • Sustainable transport systems, planning and management for a new city / industrial park (including possible production of vehicles)
    • Industrial PhD and other new forms of Public-Private talent development and R&I (including lifelong learning of 140,000 existing workforce)
    • Sustainable manufacturing processes in low-cost production environments
    • Sustainable construction in low-cost markets
    • Workplace health, safety and prevention in industrial district
    • Innovative, affordable concepts for student and researcher housing
    • FDI in strategic sectors (automotive, renewable energy, electronics) for R&I, production or market development in S-E Asia.
    • Urban planning and engineering
    Amata Corporation works in close cooperation with different Thai government agencies and ministries to assure that all possibilities of collaboration receive a maximum of incentives and support.


    The City of Kaohsiung to join as partner for the Summit

    We are pleased to announce that the Taiwanese City of Kaohsiung has joined the cities of Barcelona and Copenhagen as partners for our upcoming Summit on Service Innovation in Cities on November 24/25 2010. Kaohsiung has over the past years presented a strong commitment to excellence in ecology, safety and health in its urban planning, services and investments.

    The City of Kaohsiung will lead a delegation of Taiwanese public, business and research leaders to showcase innovations and to strengthen your international partnership-, market-access- and technology prospects at the summit. (11.08.2010)
